Our Story
Hello!
I’m Sarah and I am the owner and creator at The Flower Gallery. I started all things floral at the age of 14, where I had a Saturday job at the local florist and it soon became clear to me just how much of a passion and flare I quickly developed. Once I left school in 2003 I was lucky enough to be offered a full time position, where I was able to attend college alongside working to gain all my floristry qualifications and plenty of hands on experience along the way.
Fast forward 20 years later and I finally decided to take the jump and open my own florist in April 2020, where I could bring my own unique style to life and create The Flower Gallery. Floristry has been my whole life and I couldn’t imagine myself doing anything else.
We are a small team of two, I work alongside my colleague Amy who has over 25 years experience in the floristry industry, together we have the perfect working relationship and eye for detail. We’ve worked together for over 15years, we have the same ideas and visions for our customers florals and our style of floristry compliments each other’s perfectly.
The part of floristry that is especially close to my heart is creating special funeral tributes. Traditional, elegant or completely bespoke creations, there is just something so moving about being able to create beautiful farewell tributes and help to support a family through the loss of a loved one.
